Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you all to the upcoming South-East Asia AFPA Regional Congress 2026, which will take place on April 30 – May 3, 2026, at the Royal Ambarukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia.
The program will begin on April 30, 2026, with Pre-Congress Workshops, followed by the main Scientific Symposium on May 1–3, 2026.
This year’s theme “Mental Health in the Digital Era: Adversity Mental Health Challenges in a Dynamic Global Society,” reflects how rapid digital transformation and global shifts are reshaping the way we understand, experience, and respond to mental health. As mental health professionals, we are called to address pressing challenges such as stigma, increasing prevalence of psychiatric disorders, unequal access to care, and the complex demands of a society in constant change.
The congress will feature plenary lectures, keynote sessions, symposia, expert meetings, workshops, oral and poster presentations, as well as vibrant social events. It will be an excellent platform to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen networks with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Yogyakarta, as the host city, is not only rich in cultural heritage with landmarks such as the majestic Prambanan Temple and Borobudur Temple but also offers warm hospitality and a dynamic spirit that makes every visit memorable. We hope this inspiring setting will encourage both learning and meaningful connection.
